The Surprise Garden

Shot with Olympus E520
Today's shot is another surprising bit of peace in Covent Garden. This time, in the form of a kerbside garden that is there with no apparent reason and no apparent owner. Coming across this unexpectedly puts a smile on my face each time. A full view of the "garden" is here.

This is maintained by Richard Niazi and his staff of the Sarastro restaurant on Drury Lane. He has a habit of decorating all sorts on that corner, including road works etc.

I think they also used to run Papageno's round the corner which recently closed down?
