Festival of Trees

Today is the day of the Save the Children Festival of Trees. For eighteen years, in London, trees are made and donated by companies and designers: this one is by Thomas Pink. These were on show in Coutts in the Strand for a while and they will be auctioned at a gala fundraising event tonight. While it is too late to see them live, you can still see all the trees online here.

Brilliant idea and i've not heard of this happening before, it's news to me. Good to have a personal memory of Coutts so thanks for that. Interesting, though, some of the interpretations of the word 'tree'! I'd have thought, and i have lots of respect for Al Fayed and support his Dodi/Diana quest to the end, but that he'd have wanted to display his command of the English language. A castle? How is that a tree? I'd be very strict if i was running it, "it MUST be a tree, however you want to present it." Yes, i'd be stalking up and down, perhaps, with long flowing cloak, high heels and a whip... oh sorry did i say that out loud? lol
